Thank you for considering Caruso’s for your special occasion.   We look forward to the opportunity of making your evening a memorable one. The following is a list of Caruso’s banquet policies, please read policies carefully, FOR they will be enforced.

  • Banquet Room will accommodate up to 60 people. Party must guarantee a minimum of $1500.00 in Food & Beverage plus 20% gratuity in order to use the banquet room for exclusive dining for a 3 hour period EXCEPT FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHTS. Friday & Saturday night the minimum is $2000.00 for a 3 hour period. Lunch banquets are limited to 25 guests due to limited lunch hour parking. Luncheon Food & Beverage minimum is $500 plus 20% gratuity for 2 hrs. Additional time will be charged at $100.00 per hour and billed in 15 min. intervals. Any party of 30 or more MUST agree to the exclusive use policies. 
  • No early access will be allowed to banquet facility prior to reservation time
  • If earlier access is required before the pre-set guest arrival time, the 3 hour time limit begins at the time of early access.
  • A banquet menu is required for twenty (20) or more people.  A twenty (20) percent gratuity will be added to the final bill. Banquet room reservation is for a maximum of three (3) hours for Dinner, and two (2) hours for luncheons.
  • All guests will be served the selected banquet menu with NO SUBSTITUTIONS allowed. Special dietary or allergy needs can be accommodated for if arranged IN ADVANCE only. Last minute requests will not be honored.
  • OUT OF RESPECT TO THE NEIGHBORING BUSINESSES, WE STRONGLY SUGGEST CARPOOLING FOR LUNCHEON BANQUETS TO AVOID PARKING OVERFLOW DURING THEIR BUSINESS HOURS. GUESTS MAY PARK IN NEIGHBORING LOTS AFTER 5:00 PM
  • A non-refundable $500 deposit is required thirty (30) days prior in order to hold the room for your dinner banquet, $250.00 for luncheon banquets; deposit will be applied to your check total if party is 35 or more Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday night bookings require a $500.00 room fee.
  • Final telephone confirmation of the number of guest is required 48 hours prior to the event. All banquets will be billed for the CONFIRMED number of guests. Additional guest will be charged accordingly.
  • No separate checks. One form of payment by either cash, check or one credit card only. No host bar may be requested with payment of CASH OR CHECK ONLY at time of service of beverage. No host bar prices include drink price plus twenty (20) percent gratuity.
  • Caruso’s is NOT a child friendly environment. We love children but encourage you not to bring children under the age of five. Children attending banquets will be charged the same as adults. NO EXECPTIONS. Children in attendance, ages five and older, must remain seated during the duration of the banquet. This policy is for YOUR children’s safety and will be strictly enforced.
  • All food must be purchased from Caruso’s, however cakes may be brought in subject to a $2.00 per person plate service fee. All beverages are in addition to the per person meal price unless specifically pre-arranged to be included. A corkage fee of $15.00 per 750 ml bottle or $30.00 for magnums will be charged for any wine brought in by your party. ALL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MUST BE OPENED BY A LICENSED FOOD SERVER!
  • Banquet room will not be available until the reserved time, as arranged upon booking. PLEASE, NO EARLY ARRIVALS. CARUSO’S HAS LIMITED WAITING ROOM AND NO LOUNGE FACILITY.
  • For parties of more than 60, the entire restaurant may be reserved Sunday through Thursday nights (sorry, no weekends). This requires a $4000.00 food & beverage guarantee plus 20% gratuity and a $1000.00 NON -REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO DECORATIONS ARE ALLOWED. Caruso’s is already decorated appropriately, as is, for any occasion. Garbage bags will be provided for your convenience to dispose of all gift wrapping. No outside music or musicians are allowed.
  • For safety reasons, please do not rearrange tables after people have arrived for party. If you have specific requests about setting up your banquet, please let us know in advance.
If you wish to reserve our banquet facility please print the pdf form, fill out the information and return it to Caruso’s along with your non-refundable deposit. This contract MUST be signed and returned prior to your event.

Caruso’s Italian Café Catering Policies

Estimated Guest Count: The confirmed guest count is needed 14 days prior to the event. Charges for your event will be based on the confirmed number stated at that time.

Payment: A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event when final guest count is received. Any invoice adjustments will be billed accordingly and are due upon receipt.

Cancellation Policy: If the event is canceled more than 14 days prior to the event all monies will be returned at no additional penalties to you. However if the event is canceled within those 14 days 50% of your deposit will be forfeit.

Delivery Charges and Gratuities: There will be a 10% delivery charge for all orders in the Salem/Keizer area with the maximum delivery charge being $50.00. If you would like Caruso’s to serve the food at your event, servers are $15.00 per hour. A 20% gratuity will be added to events that require a server(s) to be on the premises.

Missing/Damaged Equipment: Any equipment that is missing or damaged at the end of your event will be billed to you accordingly.

Restaurant Rental: Caruso’s is available for private access with a minimum food order. Please contact Jerry Phipps for additional information at (503) 393-8272.

Bar Service: Bartenders are available for your next event at $15.00 per hour. Beer, wine and liquor must be purchased from Caruso’s. For a hosted bar, you will be billed for the amount consumed. A $10.00 per person deposit is due at the time of booking for a hosted bar.
